About Me

Julia Bondarchuk, fractional CMO

I’m Julia Bondarchuk.

Fractional CMO · GTM · Positioning for Technical Products

Based in Düsseldorf, Germany · English & Ukrainian (fluent), business-level German & French

I’ve spent 10+ years doing marketing inside B2B tech, mobility, and industrial companies — the kind that actually has to work, not just sound good in a deck. Now I bring that same experience directly to companies, as a fractional CMO, without the overhead of a full-time hire.

That experience comes from both sides of a table most marketers only ever see one side of: inside technical, regulated companies where the product is genuinely hard to explain, and inside European institutions where getting five countries to agree on one message is the actual job.

We’re a great match if…

You’re a B2B company with a technically complex product, navigating a launch, repositioning, or new market — without anyone senior owning marketing internally

Your product is technically complex, and it’s costing you deals because customers (or your own sales team) can’t easily explain it back

You value plain, credible communication over generic marketing language

You want senior judgment on marketing decisions, not a junior hire still learning the space

You’re not ready for a full-time marketing executive, but “no strategic ownership” isn’t working either

Probably not a fit if…

  • You want a full-time marketing hire, not a fractional one
  • You already have a marketing strategy and just need extra hands to execute it
  • You’re looking for the lowest-cost option rather than senior judgment

Where the experience comes from

  • Owned go-to-market end-to-end for an 18+ device portfolio at UTA Edenred — a regulatory-driven launch and base migration that drove a 5x increase in new customer acquisition.
  • Scaled marketing across six European markets — Benelux, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, and the UK — with full budget ownership.
  • Earlier, at Mitsubishi Power Europe, translated complex energy products into messaging sales teams and customers could actually use.
  • That work has spanned Germany, France, Benelux, Poland, Ukraine, and EU institutions — enough to know “one message for every market” rarely survives contact with reality.

What I actually do differently

What pulled me into this work in the first place: I love complex products, and I genuinely admire the people who build them. Turning something complicated into language a customer immediately understands is, to me, the most satisfying part of the job.

Most marketing hires walk in and execute somebody else’s plan. I usually show up earlier than that — when the product’s hard to explain, when sales and marketing are telling two different stories, or when a company’s about to do something it’s never done before.

I hold the senior marketing seat — strategy, positioning, GTM planning, working closely with sales and product — without needing the full-time title to do it well.

How I work today

I only take on a handful of engagements at a time, so the people I work with get me — not a shared associate. Most relationships start the same way: one honest conversation about what’s not working. Not a pitch.

Think we might be a fit? Let’s talk about what’s not working.
